Rotori is a mobile app built for planning trips to Japan. You pick the cities, we split the days, drop in the Shinkansen ticket suggestion automatically, and hand you discovery badges when you actually get there.
Yes. Rotori is fully free right now. No ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases. If a premium feature ever arrives, we'll say so clearly.
Open the app, tap "Create account". Continue with email + password or Sign in with Apple. If you use Apple, you can hide your email — we never see your real address.
Instantly, from inside the app. Viewer → top-left ☰ → Delete account. The moment you confirm, all your plans, hotels, tickets, reminders and checklist are permanently erased. No email required. This action can't be undone.
Yes. Account data is stored with Supabase, your password is bcrypt-hashed, and the server-device link is TLS-encrypted. Your location never leaves the app — GPS badges are computed entirely on-device. See the privacy policy for details.
Largely yes. After you plan a trip you can pre-download the map tiles for your cities ("Prepare offline" button). Ticket details, day flow, hotel addresses, Japanese phrases — all offline. Internet is only needed when Rotori syncs your latest changes to Supabase.
Rotori ships 75 pre-generated Japanese phrases as MP3 files (OpenAI TTS "nova" voice, HD quality). We don't use your device's built-in TTS — the quality is much better. Works without internet.
When you add a new city to your route, all days get automatically rebalanced. Cities where you haven't set dates manually may shift; the ones you set stay put. Same happens if you reorder cities.
Not yet — iOS only. Android is on our roadmap, but we want to prove Rotori on iOS first.
The easiest way is a direct email. A screenshot, your iOS version and the app version (bottom of any screen) help but aren't required.
